About The Artist
Patrick Ching
Patrick is an internationally acclaimed artist from Hawaii who has
spent a lifetime exploring the islands and observing the flora and fauna
that inspire his up in the lush valleys of Pauoa and later Moanalua. His
first job was painting coconuts for fifty cents each. To be around the
animals he loved, Patrick signed up for every wilderness trek he could.
When it comes to painting livestock, Patrick Ching knows his subjects
intimately. As a longtime horseman, bull rider and rodeo clown, he is
well versed in equine and bovine anatomy. Ching's zest for life is
apparent to all who meet him. Today, his interests include fishing,
surfing, hand gliding, riding horses, rodeos and eating great food.
